A Government Department is seeking an EL1 / APS6 Security Investigator Officer on a long-term assignment.

A Federal Government Department is seeking an EL1 / APS6 Security Investigator Officer on a long-term assignment to enhanced their personnel security capability.

**Your new role**
You will assist in analysing, report and investigating security related matters, with a focus on early intervention, staff-wellbeing and enabling diversity in the workforce. On a day-to-day basis this will include:

- Identify threats to the Department security by combining and analysing multiple sets of data
- Produce written assessments of security risks and recommendations to mitigate them
- Liaise with other parts of department and external agencies to draw on their expertise and access to relevant data
- Interview staff to gather information to inform assessments of security risks.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Practical experience in conducting civil or criminal investigations in a Commonwealth government context (e.g. Security, Code of Conduct, fraud or regulatory investigations);
- Practical understanding of the Australian Government Investigations Standards (AGIS);
- The ability to understand departments diverse personnel security risk profile, including at our overseas offices
- NV1 Clearance required
