We have a highly engaged, diverse and collaborative workforce that is unified by our goal to help people live healthy and fulfilled lives. **About Health, Safety & Wellness** The Health, Safety & Wellbeing department sits within the People & Culture directorate at Austin Health. It is based at Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital, and is responsible for providing advisory services, strategic direction and planning for the workforce health, safety and wellbeing across all campuses, covering approximately 11,000 employees. Key areas of responsibility include occupational health and safety management systems; injury management and return to work; workforce immunisation; safety and wellbeing education and training; and health and wellbeing programs. **About the role** As the Workforce Wellbeing Lead you will develop and manage a range of organisation-wide strategic initiatives and programs to support staff wellbeing. Key responsibilities will see you: - Lead an evidence based and cost-effective focus on workforce wellbeing via coordination and implementation of the wellbeing action plan - Ensure strategic and wide-ranging input to wellbeing programs through collaboration with a multidisciplinary committee and liaison with external providers - Support the expansion and maintenance of the critical incident response program - Support the broader Health Safety Wellbeing Department functions, including advisory for OHS incident response; OHS risk mitigation; and workforce injury management - Build leadership capability to support workforce psychological health and safety - Project management, including grant preparation, budgeting, implementation and evaluation - Coordinate organisation-wide wellness related events such as, health and skin checks, massages, and exercise challenges - Develop policies and guidelines reflecting best practice and regulatory frameworks to ensure workplace psychological health and safety - Manage relationships with external stakeholders including contract management of the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and other corporate partners **About you** You will be someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to engage with and influence stakeholders. You'll enjoy taking a collaborative approach to your work, and fostering great working relationships at all levels. You’ll bring with you: - Minimum five years related experience - Related tertiary qualifications e.g. Allied Health; OH&S; Human Resources; Health Promotion; Health Management - Understanding of psychological health and safety, including legislative and best practice frameworks - Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines - Sound presentation, facilitation and group training skills - Proven experience in project management and consulting in complex environments **Our benefits** Working at Austin Health means enjoying a strong sense of purpose, engaging in meaningful work every day.
