The NSW Independent Casino Commission (NICC) is an independent statutory body, constituted by the Casino Control Act 1992. The Commission is responsible for the supervision and regulation of the NSW casino industry, upholding the highest standards of integrity, overseeing reform of the sector and monitoring and enforcing compliance with regulations.
The NICC plays a vital role in rebuilding public trust in the NSW casino industry through visible and robust regulatory oversight and through the development and implementation of requirements and standards that appropriately address risk and harms arising from casino operations. This includes implementing stringent new controls to prevent money laundering and other criminal activity.
