DigiRen Cloud Governance Associate Principals work with customers to help them understand, plan, and implement platform governance frameworks, particularly those focused on the governance of cost, security, resilience, and compliance. They act as a key trusted advisor for our customers, helping them understand how to implement enterprise governance controls at scale in their Cloud platform. To succeed in this role, you will be an independent operator who thrives in a highly flexible work environment and manages themselves to the highest standards.

Note that this role focuses much more on implementing effective governance processes, automation, and workflows than on the technical implementation of specific controls. For example, we prioritise building effective FinOps practices rather than the implementation of FinOps toolsets.

As a Cloud Governance Associate Principal at DigiRen, you will:

- Design and implement cost, security, resilience and compliance governance frameworks for large commercial and public sector organisations, integrating into their cloud transformation programs.
- Help customers translate their broader governance requirements into specific standards that support scalable Cloud adoption.
- Be able to define new organisational and people constructs for enterprise Cloud governance, and support government and commercial organisations build their workforces for the future.
- Support customers to define long-term transition plans for existing governance functions to take on effective Cloud governance responsibilities.
- Be able to design governance workflows, processes, data models and training for enterprise Cloud governance teams.
- Participate in technology roadmap and architecture discussions to turn goverance requirements and vision into reality.
- Act as a thought leader in Cloud governance best practices, participating in DigiRen and industry events and thought leadership initiatives.
- Lead, develop, mentor and coach other team members at DigiRen.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 4 years in building governance for enterprise hyperscale platforms on either Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
- Played a leading role in building public Cloud delivery teams, either business management or platform teams.
- Experienced delivering Advisory or Technical consulting to large enterprises or government.
- ‘C-level’ presence and ability to make complex people, technology, and process issues accessible to senior leaders.
- Experienced playing a leading delivery role in Australian Federal government technology projects.
- Willing and able to undertake Australian government security clearances up to PV level.
- Ideally qualified in Cloud governance frameworks or approaches such as FinOps foundation.
- Highly experienced in defining relevant KPIs and metrics for enterprise Cloud governance
- Experience with agile project management methodologies.
- Current AWS Cloud Practitioner or Azure Fundamentals certifications or ability to complete within six months.
- Ability to travel to client locations when needed within Australia.
- Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
- Current NV1 security clearance
