About the Role
As a Remediation Specialist, you’ll play a key role in helping to address and resolve issues within Suncorp Bank. You'll be responsible for managing remediation activities through five key stages: Identification, Assessment, Design, Delivery and Closure. Your work ensures that processes and systems remain efficient, compliant, and resilient, helping the Bank mitigate risks and improve overall operations.

What will your day look like?
**As a Remediation Specialist, you will**:
Be an integral member of our remediation team to achieve compliance, customer and banker outcomes
Communicate and collaborate with various business stakeholders to gather information, provide updates and negotiate solutions to ensure the most appropriate, cost effective and timely solutions are delivered
Set and deliver against remediation milestones
Undertake analysis, understand the problem, design the solution and build remediation documentation (plan, compensation methodology, communication strategy) ensuring they are compliant to policies, standards and frameworks.
Identify and address constraints that hinder progress on remediations, escalating as appropriate
Help drive innovative outcomes
Take responsibility for own personal development and professional learning goals.
Demonstrate appropriate and professional workplace behaviours, providing assistance to team members if required and undertaking other key responsibilities or activities as directed.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Experience in risk or a business-related field within the financial services sector
Experience in remediation or proven experience in effective and efficient project delivery
Ability to track and keep projects on schedule, manage tight deadlines and shift priorities at moment’s notice
Strong knowledge of banking regulatory and compliance obligations
Understanding of banking, processes, and core banking systems.
Excellent communication skills - proven ability to address business issues and convey decisions and results in a confident and concise manner.
Strong attention to detail to maintain data integrity and accuracy when working on remediations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
High degree of accuracy when dealing with customer information
Time and workload management - demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks and organise workload in an effective manner to deliver required business outcomes.
Customer Service - proven ability to develop rapport with internal stakeholders and deliver outcomes that improve the customer experience, delivering quality within required timeframes.
Resilience to adapt to quickly changing circumstances and ways of working.
