Our People Services team supports our Australian operations with a 480+ workforce of both blue & white collar and trainee positions. Otraco has a presence on over 45 mining operations across WA, NSW & QLD, supported by offices based in Perth and Brisbane.
This role is based at the Kewdale office in Perth and travel interstate will be required in this role.
THE ROLE
Reporting to the Manager of People and Culture, as the National People Services Team Lead, you will play a key role in supporting our people in the delivery of best practice Human Resource services, including industrial relations, performance management, recruitment and selection, employee wellbeing, employee engagement and learning and development.
You will lead and develop the capability of a team of HR professionals. Key to this role is a strong ER/IR Skillset. This role will play an integral part in supporting a transition to a HR shared service model.
ABOUT YOU
- Degree qualification in Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations, or a related discipline.
- Minimum ten years’ experience in HR, with at least three years’ experience and exposure in a HR lead role
- Ability to lead and develop team members and create a positive people focused and business outcomes driven culture.
- Demonstrated experience and sound understanding of the legislative and industrial framework that applies to human resources management.
- Proven ability to deliver people focused initiatives and services that drive engagement including change management, industrial relations, performance management, recruitment and selection, employee wellbeing and engagement and learning and development.
- Effective collaboration and influencing skills with the ability to engage and partner with key stakeholders to achieve business outcomes.
- Ability to relate to and communicate with people at all levels to navigate complex change initiatives, drive engagement and achieve a positive workplace culture.
- Commitment to transparent, people focused, and data driven decision making and with a proven ability to provide advice that is timely, respectful, and fair.
- Knowledge of RTO and training compliance is preferred.
