Overall, St Vincent de Paul Society Victoria has many arms and services. These include soup vans, education programs, home visitation programs and VincentCare Victoria, which provides a range of services and programs for people who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness and disadvantage. This includes crisis accommodation, drug and alcohol dependency programs, and housing.

It’s an exciting time to join the organisation as we have recently launched a new strategic plan that is future oriented and full of exciting initiatives. The IT Transformation team will play a pivotal role in delivering on strategic projects and helping the organisation to achieve operational excellence.

**About the Role**

As a Change Manager at St Vincent de Paul Society, you will be at the forefront of driving the successful implementation of the Human Capital Management System (HCMS) project. This is a 22-month fixed-term role where you will oversee the people side of change, guiding the adoption of new systems, processes, and technologies. You will integrate change management activities into the overall project plan, ensuring smooth transitions and effective adoption among both staff and volunteers. Your work will focus on ensuring that the diverse stakeholder groups, particularly volunteers who may be apprehensive about new technology, feel supported and engaged throughout the process. Additionally, you will play a key role in building the organization's overall change management capabilities, mentoring staff and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Change Management Strategies**:

- Develop and implement comprehensive change management strategies and plans that will maximize employee adoption and minimize resistance to the new systems, processes, and technologies being introduced through the HCMS project.
- Conduct thorough assessments of current and future states, performing in-depth change impact analyses with business stakeholders to identify key areas of concern.
- Utilize change impact assessments to craft tailored deployment and rollout strategies, ensuring the successful adoption of new tools and processes across both staff and volunteers.

**Risk Management**:

- Proactively identify potential risks and resistance points, developing detailed strategies to address these challenges and mitigate potential obstacles to success.
- Customize and adapt your change management approach to address specific challenges faced by St Vincent de Paul Society, ensuring that the needs and concerns of all stakeholders are met.

**Communication & Stakeholder Engagement**:

- Conduct detailed stakeholder analyses to identify key individuals and groups, crafting engagement and communication plans that cater to their unique needs.
- Develop and execute communication strategies to keep all stakeholders informed about upcoming changes, the rationale behind them, and their expected impact.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings, where necessary, to gather feedback, assess change impacts, and inform planning and execution of project activities.

**Training & Support**:

- Lead the design and implementation of a training strategy to ensure that staff and volunteers are well-prepared for the transition to new systems and processes.
- Provide direct training and ongoing support to ensure smooth transitions and address any challenges staff or volunteers may face in adopting new technology.
- Establish a clear go-live readiness approach, determining and assessing criteria to ensure that the organization is fully prepared for the changes ahead.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to define post-go-live support processes, ensuring ongoing success and sustainability of the new systems.

**About you**

You bring proven experience in managing complex change processes, particularly in digital transformation projects. Your background in change management equips you to guide both staff and volunteers through the adoption of new systems and processes and you are adept at customizing your approach to meet the needs of diverse stakeholder groups. You understand that successful change is as much about people as it is about technology and you approach your work with empathy, patience and a collaborative mindset. You thrive in environments where change is constant and are energized by helping others navigate through these transitions. Your proactive nature and ability to work independently, while also collaborating with cross-functional teams, make you an ideal fit for this role.
