**About the Role**
As an Associate Director in Communications you will be responsible for executing the Communications plan, consistent with NAB’s Corporate Affairs strategy, to build trust and advocacy with colleagues and customers.
You will also be responsible for supporting the planning, advice and execution of activities aligned to the Communications plan. Key responsibilities include leading communications for senior executives and influencing positive engagement outcomes for colleagues and NAB.
**What you'll be doing**
***Your key accountabilities will include but not be limited to:
- Work in collaboration with colleagues across Communications and Corporate Affairs, as well as with executive offices and key stakeholders to ensure consistent alignment of messaging and activity to the Group Strategy and Communications Plan.
- Bring the outside in, by helping to drive business decisions that will build trust and drive change for the benefit of customers and colleagues. This includes pursuing new, innovative, creative and effective communications approaches.
- Proactively manage risk; meet all policy and compliance requirements; perform controls; adhere to Process and Procedures pertinent to role; and escalate events, issues or breaches as they are identified (risk accountability forms part of all roles, as everyone is responsible for managing risk and compliance). Ensure all communications content and materials are delivered in line with these requirements.
- Lead the planning and coordination of communications and engagement activities for enterprise projects.
**What you'll bring**
To succeed in this role, you will bring professional experience working in a similar role coupled with unwavering drive and motivation to succeed in fast paced, at times ambiguous and complex environment and have:
- Innovative communications and story-telling that are delivered in the appropriate style of language and channel for the target audiences.
- Pursues opportunities for integrated communications (internal, external, social) wherever possible.
- Risk management, including identification, mitigation and management of issues with a focus on building trust in NAB.
- Positively contributing to NAB’s culture. As a senior member of the Communications team, you take the time to reflect on self and actively explore development opportunities, while supporting other team members to grow.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to priorities against strategic objectives of the Communications Plan
- Demonstrated stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills coupled with the ability to work under pressure.
- Tertiary qualifications in related discipline.
