The Role

This is an exciting leadership opportunity for a senior operational HR leader. The HR Business Partner role supports over 1400 employees across VIC, Tasmania and South Australia, supported by a small team of Senior People Consultants. You will act as the strategic partner to the Regional Managing Director and their extended leadership team to understand business needs and deliver HR solutions to people related challenges and opportunities.

Here are the key things you will do to ‘bring ideas to life’.
- Design, implementation and embedding of the Regional People Strategy and the use of your commercial and HR acumen to guide the region on its key people priorities
- Designing and championing key regional initiatives around Talent Management, Employee Experience, Flexible Working, Inclusion & Diversity, Learning, Performance Management and Leadership development
- Leading, coaching and developing the local People team to support both operational delivery and strategy implementation
- Building strong, collaborative relationships to drive performance and deliver against the business strategy
- Lead and resolve escalated employee relations issues, ensuring fair people and business outcomes
- Bring a commercial mindset to People activities, managing complex industrial relations matters efficiently

What we are looking for
- Demonstrated experience in a similar HR Manager role ideally gained within the Professional Services, Construction, Engineering or Design industries
- Demonstrated knowledge and passion for delivering contemporary HR practices
- Tertiary qualification in HR, Business, or related discipline
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative nature to lead a team to success
- Ability to solve problems, think strategically, influence, plan and execute
- An individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced, agile environment
- Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships
- Adaptable with the ability to see the "big picture" of our organisation and how they relate to your role
