Here at The Push-Up Challenge we're searching for a dynamic Communications and Marketing Manager to lead a small but mighty team, driving both Above the Line (ATL) and Below the Line (BTL) campaigns for our large-scale annual events. In this fast-paced role, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference, working closely with senior leadership and a talented team to positively impact mental health on a global scale.
**About the Role**:
As the Communications & Marketing Manager, you'll be responsible for the overall communications and marketing strategy that will engage and grow our audience. Leading a team of seven, you'll oversee everything throughout the supporter lifecycle to convert and nurture our supporters, so their participation becomes an annual ritual.
Working closely with our community partnership team, you'll also amplify their efforts to create campaigns that leverage the potential of a partner's community, so we can scale our impact through strategic alignment. You will have love of creating genuine connection beyond clicks, ensuring our supporters have an authentic bond with our brand. You'll also have the opportunity to influence key decisions by collaborating with the CEO and senior leadership to shape our future.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Lead and execute a comprehensive omnichannel marketing strategy, integrating both digital and offline approaches to maximise engagement and reach.
- Collaborate with our community partnerships team to amplify their reach and build a long-term participation-ready audience.
- Systemise and organise the department to operate like a well-oiled machine, freeing up time for creative thinking and innovative ideas.
- Utilise platforms like Campaign Monitor, MailChimp, and PowerBI to ensure efficient campaign delivery and gain audience insights for continuous improvement.
- Mentor and coach your team, creating an environment where they can grow, learn, and deliver their best work.
- Develop compelling, high-quality content that ensures consistency across all communications, and use your sharp eye for detail to pick up spelling, grammar or optimisation errors.
- Stay ahead of the curve by leveraging the latest marketing technologies and data-driven strategies to optimise campaign performance and engagement.
**What We're Looking For**:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in communications and marketing, with a strong background in large-scale event-driven and/or digital campaigns.
- Ability to systemise and streamline the department, ensuring smooth operations and more time for creativity and innovation.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in coaching, mentoring, and developing a high-performing team.
- Advanced skills in technologies (including marketing automation platforms such as Campaign Monitor, Mailchimp, or similar, analytical platforms such as PowerBI or Google Analytics, and social/online platforms such as Meta and Wordpress).
- Experience in omnichannel marketing, integrating digital and offline efforts to drive conversions and long-term engagement.
- Experience creating engaging content that resonates with supporters at every stage of their journey - from cold leads, to engaged supporters, to passionate brand champions.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and deliver error-free campaigns on time.
- Exceptional attention to detail, with strong copywriting and proofreading skills.
- Passion for using data and insights to drive continuous improvement and optimise campaign results.
