**THE COMPANY**:
Government department located at Parramatta. Working for Commercial & Property Law Team.

**THE POSITION**:
This position is a 12 month contract with view to extend. Hybrid working arrangements with requirement to attend monthly meeting in Parramatta.

The purpose of this position is to provide legal, clerical and administration support to the broader team and client services to other Government departments.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Perform legal research as instructed by solicitors and legal staff
- Assist the team with drafting documents - correspondence, policies, briefing notes
- Prepare submission in line with departmental approval guidelines
- Support various teams with requests/requirements
- Answering and screening telephone calls
- Data entry
- Diary management
- Travel arrangements, when required
- Checking of account payable
- Preparation of vouchers for payment for approval

**SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS**:

- WWCC & National Police Check
- ** Currently studying or completed law studies**:

- A strong focus on clients and a flexible, problem-solving mindset
- An interest in employment law
- The ability to provide legal, clerical and administrative support as part of a high-performing, collaborative team
- MS Office - Intermediate to Advanced
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Ability to prioritise workload
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality

**SALARY**:$79-86K + Super + Leave Loading

**WORK TYPE**:12 Month Contract with view to extend

**HOURS**: 9 am - 5pm - 35 hour week
