About the School Capalaba State College offers education from Prep to Year 12 ensuring continuity through all phases of learning. About the Role The College has two Heads of Special Education. The temporary vacancy is based on our Secondary Campus. Among other roles and responsibilities, as Head of Special Education you will: - Co-lead the transition to the new funding model (Reasonable Adjustments Resourcing). - Implement our vision of students with diverse learning needs being successful, in classes supported by an expert Teaching team, the successful applicant will oversee the recruitment and supervision of a Teacher and Teacher Aide team. - Work alongside peers on both the primary and secondary campuses to support the adjustment of curriculum and pedagogy to best suit the needs of the students and the capacity development of our staff. Strong team work and the ability to plan change is essential. Use of technology to function daily is preferred.
