
Principal Marketing and Communications Officer

**You'll be responsible for**:
- Lead the development, implementation and evaluation of awareness and engagement activities that support OIR and Queensland Government strategic priorities and business needs. Support the manager to deliver OIR's external communications program, including multi-modal awareness raising and behavioural change campaigns that support Regulator strategies. Lead the development of OIR business unit communication strategies that support Directorate business plans and goals. Support team governance practices through role modelling and performance monitoring. Lead, coach and motivate staff through regular feedback, mentoring and individualised support to achieve operational and personal development objectives, including: - effective and reasonable allocation of project/campaign tasks
- competent management of simple human resource issues and processes
- documented performance development agreements
- team members' behaviour and day to day performance reflects the department's code of conduct
- escalation of complex people management issues to management. Actively engage in a multi-disciplinary, agile team environment. Collaborate with the Managers and Director AEU and team to organise work priorities to ensure delivery of broader organisational commitments. Generate active engagement in key initiatives through clear, enthusiastic and compelling communication. Role model and support others to work through obstacles in the delivery of projects/tasks. Ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of the people over which you have responsibility. This includes ensuring you and your team members are aware of and observing their responsibilities and obligations including under relevant OIR HSW policies and procedures. Develop and maintain working relationships with other OIR business units to deliver awareness and engagement services in a timely manner and secure their assistance with engagement activities as required. Provide expert and timely advice to the Manager, Awareness and Engagement on project progress, issues that may impact on service delivery, and new and emerging marketing, communications, stakeholder engagement and governance innovations that may enhance team performance, awareness and stakeholder engagement activities.
