As the Principal Project Officer, you will generate innovative ideas and lead productdevelopment and program management that created additional opportunities for clients to enter or remain in the private housing market. You will enable the ongoing delivery of suitable housing and provision to frontline staff of integrated set of
information, advice, solutions, and assistance to assist people in need explore what opportunities exist in the private rental market by:

- Providing professional, authoritative and timely advice to colleagues and senior management to inform strategy, direction and generation of solutions to complex problems.
- Researching and preparing proposals, project plans, recommendations, submissions and briefing papers, in conjunction with key external and internal stakeholders, of a complex nature.
- Guiding the department's investment in social services through the development of housing assistance programs that are robust, evidence based and represent value for money.
- Leading the creation of an integrated, effective and responsive suite of housing and other assistance programs that deliver outcomes and benefits for clients.
- Informing the movement of investment from an array of compartmentalised, outdated and outputs-driven programs toward flexible, integrated, complementary, and outcomes focussed responses.
- Leading the development and implementation of funding reform activities that are effective, integrated with whole-of-government policy directions, and responsive to variation in regions, communities and client groups.
- Reviewing and evaluating investment and service delivery outcomes.
- Engaging and coordinating activities with diverse stakeholders.
- Supporting and helping maintain a workplace safety culture by ensuring that all policies and practices concerning Workplace Health and Safety are applied and a part of day to day operations
