Distribution of BT’s products is conducted through an extensive network of financial advisers.
**How will I help?**
Reporting into the Head of Platforms Distribution we have a wonderful opportunity for a Head of New Business to support BT’s Platforms Distribution team The Head of New Business will lead a new business sales team and drive the Distribution strategy for the BTFG platforms offer across the Adviser Practices market, dealing with both Dealer group licenced and IFA practices. You will drive the BTFG platforms offer to market and ensure targets are met through highly effective sales leadership. This role will see you accountable for building a high profile through the industry through thought leadership and being renown for driving high performance teams and delivering outcomes.
You will also be involved in:
- Achieving net flow targets through securing new relationships
- Developing New business sales strategy to drive net flow outcomes
- Identifying target opportunities and pipeline management
- Leading a team of Distribution Managers
- Accountability for the implementation of managed account solutions for clients
- Accountability for securing significant institutional opportunities
- Coordination and allocation of resources to ensure targets are achieved
- Provide input and direction in the future development and priority setting for platforms and the overall BTFG platforms offer
- People Leadership and ongoing development of capability in the team
- Accountable for driving the agreed culture and community standards of being part of the BTFG platforms Community
- Understand and leverage full BTFG platforms offer
- Successful handover of opportunities to the Account Management team
- Industry forums and driving the Platforms Distribution strategy into the market.

**What do I need?**
You will also have:
- BT Platforms experience and knowledge of how advisers use these platforms within their businesses is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of the IFA market and financial planners with a strong focus on IFA distribution/relationship management
- RG146 Compliant
- Strong ability to understand business growth drivers and critically assess business opportunities and problems.
- Exceptional sales leadership skills and ability to design, embed and manage a robust end-to-end recruitment process.
- Superior leadership skills and ability to build and sustain a high performance culture.
- Lead change and drive a culture of continuous improvement.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to negotiate and influence stakeholders.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills and ability to liaise with staff at all levels.
- Extensive experience in a senior sales leadership role within the financial services industry.
- A proven track record in an executive business leadership role within the financial services industry or similar.
- BT Platforms knowledge and how advisers use these platforms within their businesses
- Comprehensive knowledge of financial planning within a major financial services organisation.
- Demonstrated record in driving business performance through effective strategy and leadership.
