Easy Authoring is seeking a Program Officer who is experienced with contracts and administration work to join an established government department.

**PURPOSE OF THE ROLE**:
Support the local administration and delivery of maintenance contract, primarily through the preparation of office estimates and contributing to the development of the Quarterly Program of Works.

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**:

- Develop, implement, and manage a planned program of maintenance.
- Provide both proactive and effective contract administration through the development of office estimates including attending on-site (as required) and supporting negotiations with contractors in relation to quotations.
- Preparing a range of project related documents including briefing notes, status updates, reports, budgets and discussion papers
- Ensure that works are appropriately delivered, and that strategies and action plans are put in place to rectify work issues where applicable.
- Develop scopes of work for exceptional internal activities and statutory and regulatory items such as disability modifications, in collaboration with relevant professionals such as Occupational Therapists as required.
- Ensure compliance with the Australian Building Codes, standards, policies and Contract requirements when issuing work to contractors.

**ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS**:

- Current working knowledge of the Australian Building Codes.
- Sound residential experience and/or a post trade certificate IV or equivalent qualification in property development.
- Knowledge of contract requirements, preparing quotations or estimates, and policies.
- Good with computer systems including but not limited to Excel, near maps or similar, Adobe and MS Project.
- Current Driver’s License.
