Fantastic Maintenance Officer Role

**Your new company**

You will be joining a highly reputable non-for-profit organisation responsible for providing services and care to ageing Australians. This is made up of multiple residential aged care facilities based across the Sydney region. This covers all aspects, from clinical and nursing services to the running of residential aged care facilities. This is where they are looking for assistance and somebody to become part of their maintenance team due to growth.

**Your new role**

You will be joining the company as a Maintenance Officer who will be reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor and this role will be based out of their Eastern Suburb site. They are a close-knit team and looking to bring in the right individual who is comfortable communicating with guests and staff. Your general responsibilities will be as follows:

- Fixing of furniture, fixtures and basic carpentry.
- Basic plumbing tasks (For example, changing a valve)
- Basic electrical work such as changing sockets or replacing light bulbs.
- Changing locks on doors
- Painting/Patching work
- General moving of furniture and lifting when required
- Communicating effectively with residents and staff alike.
- Using an internal computer system to coordinate your own work and complete tasks.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Previous experience working as a maintenance officer or in a similar field
- Ability to pass a police check
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Understanding of WHS requirements
- The ability to use a computerised system in the workplace.
