Working in tandem with their clients to help them identify the right products and solutions to address their sustainability challenges, the Business Development team’s goal is to contribute to growing the business and market position in the Asia Pacific region by understanding clients’ needs and developing tailor-made solutions in collaboration with senior team members.
**Responsibilities**:
- Function as the “right hand” to Partners, Directors and practice group leaders
- Support the development of client engagement plans consistent with regional strategies
- Assist in the identification of must-win pursuits, coordinate internal resources and best practice efforts to position the ESG favourably
- Develop proposals, concluding commercial agreements and help with further account management tasks
- Be a persuasive messaging architect, identifying and addressing client needs
- Prepare teams for client meetings, including short-list interviews and coaching of staff
- Participate in targeted client communication and joint marketing activities and coordinate with the marketing department on needs and opportunities during the course of the business development cycle
- Work with practice group leaders to identify opportunities for repeat business
- Measure results and identify areas for improvement
- Participate in post-project award business development/client engagement efforts, such as, project handover process and ensure client satisfaction by guaranteeing a high-quality standard of ESG services and anticipating their expectations and objectives
- Understand client needs and their stakeholder environment to identify business development opportunities
- Initiate and build your own relationships with new clients
- Develop compelling offers and proposals together with the ESG projects team, product experts and consultants
**Qualifications & Requirements**:
- University degree in Sustainability and/or Business-related discipline
- Relevant knowledge of the ESG market, corporate sustainability, climate change, and related frameworks
- Experience in the field of sustainability, corporate responsibility, climate change or renewable energy and in a client-facing role
- Distinct analytical and conceptual abilities, the know-how of relevant sales software (CRM) and techniques
- Entrepreneurial mindset, sense of responsibility and willingness to take initiative
- Strong drive for results, action-oriented, with self-direction and a sense of urgency
- Ability to successfully navigate complexity and effectively deal with ambiguity
