We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Policy Officers to join the Motor Accidents Insurance Regulation Division at the State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA). As an Assistant Policy Officer, you will have the opportunity to work in a modern and dynamic regulatory environment on scheme design, policy and reform initiatives to deliver the best outcomes for people who are injured, as well as policy holders, while ensuring a fair and sustainable motor accidents scheme in NSW.

**About Us**
SIRA regulates three statutory insurance schemes in NSW - CTP, Workers Compensation, and Home Building Compensation. It also has some regulatory functions in other NSW insurance schemes including the Lifetime Care and Support and Dust Diseases schemes. Understand more about SIRA here.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in SIRA’s CTP Scheme Design, Policy and Performance Directorate. Working across policy teams and reporting to the Policy Manager, you will support projects to deliver scheme design, policy and reform initiatives. The team engages across government (within NSW and nationally) to develop, manage and implement a range of complex policy issues in the CTP scheme.
**Your responsibilities will include**:
- Supporting the development and delivery of proposals for legislative and other reform to benefit people injured in motor accidents and CTP policy holders across NSW.
- Contributing to the development of medico-legal policy.
- Contributing to implementation of the recommendations of the Statutory Review of the Motor Accident Injuries Act 2017 and the options of the Review of Legal Support for Injured People in the NSW CTP Scheme.
- Contributing to research and critically analysing information to clearly define policy problems and inform development of policy options.
- Contributing to delivery of policy projects.
- Providing analysis and advice to support organisational and Government policy initiatives and commitments.
- Supporting engagement with stakeholders on reform proposals.
- Collating information for reporting, monitoring and evaluation purposes.
- Progressing work and tasks independently but also collaborating with the team to deliver outcomes.

- Highly organised, with strong skills in research, writing, project management and attention to detail.
- A high level of personal motivation and an ability to adjust capabilities to suit a variety of stakeholders and organisational needs.
- A good understanding of public policy including policy development, implementation and evaluation.
- A proactive person who can work independently to manage competing priorities with tight deadlines.
