Clinical Assurance Officer

**The Opportunity**:
The Clinical Assurance Officer will work collaboratively across Newcastle Anglican to ensure excellence in clinical care where service delivery is safe, effective, integrated, high quality and continuously improving. This position is required to assess the adequacy, efficiency and effectiveness of the delivery of care and its associated systems, controls, policies and processes throughout Newcastle Anglican working within the clinical governance and risk management frameworks with a focus on continuous improvement.

**What we are looking for?**
- Assess the adequacy, safety, efficiency and effectiveness of the delivery of care and its associated systems, controls, physical environment, policies and processes for clinical assurance across Newcastle Anglican.
- Undertake clinical reviews in relation to incidents and investigations.
- Monitor and support plan for continuous improvement of services and assess the adequacy of action items to ensure they sufficiently address identified risk.
- Continuous review of compliance and legislation with NDIS, Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission and regulatory bodies.
- With a risk based approach, develop clinical assurance work plans and engage with stakeholders to plan and conduct the audit.
**About you?**
- Strong communication skills across, aural, oral and written
- Demonstrated experience in clinical audit function
- Degree qualifications in Nursing, Health or related discipline.
- Demonstrated analytical, problem solving, planning and organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- A current Working with Children check (with clearance to work with children) & NDIS check.
- National Police Check (Newcastle Anglican will consider the relevance of any reported outcomes).
