**Seeking an experienced Junior Merchandise Planner to join a leading Brisbane-based womenswear brand**

This role is responsible for driving the merchandise strategy and optimising inventory to meet and exceed financial goals. You will develop seasonal product strategies based on business opportunities and collaborate with cross-functional departments to execute the department vision. You will manage and plan merchandise inventory positions and markdown strategies to drive departmental sales, inventory, profit, and sell thru objectives.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Build financial sales, gross margin, and inventory plans on a weekly basis at an item level
- Create a pricing strategy by item that maximises sales and gross profit
- Re-forecast business in-season based on current performance, present revised projections and recommendations to cross-functional partners and senior leadership
- Create and plan product assortments (item, colour, size) for each product category
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments, ie. Marketing and Operations, to ensure the success of product strategies
- Work with visual merchandisers to execute monthly layouts across different store formats
- Generate reports as requested by business partners, or senior executives
- 1 to 3 years of experience in planning/merchandising/inventory optimisation is desirable
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Excellent analytical ability; Quick learner
- Ability to handle multiple projects effectively
- Sense of urgency and accuracy
- Demonstrated sensitivity to cross-cultural environments
