With a focus on growth and future success, Michael Hill is seeking an energetic and career-focused Junior Merchandise Planner to join our global Planning Team at our Brisbane Support Centre.

**About the role**:
This full-time role offers an exciting opportunity to manage the end-to-end planning of your category under the guidance of a Senior Planner. You’ll play a pivotal part in optimising sales, profit, and inventory while contributing to the overall strategy and success of the team. The salary banding for this role is $70,000 - $80,000 plus superannuation.

**Primary responsibilities include**:

- Developing a comprehensive pre-season planning strategy to identify opportunities and risks for your category.
- Collaborating with your Buyer to create assortment and option plans that drive growth and maximise ROI.
- Managing weekly merchandise plans with high accuracy using Foresight software, forecasting sales, profit, intake, and inventory.
- Conducting weekly trade reviews, identifying risks and opportunities, and taking actionable steps to address them.
- Ensuring high in-stocks of core lines through precise inventory management, including forecasting and phasing plans for new ranges and line exits.
- Quantifying new ranges and monthly core replenishments.
- Presenting analysis and findings to key stakeholders.

- Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel proficiency - spreadsheet enthusiasts, this one’s for you

- High attention to detail and a curious mindset to continuously improve and innovate.
