**Role Description/Criteria**

**OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE**

The Maintenance Officer collaborates with the Maintenance Supervisor on their respective campus, and contributes to the safety, compliance and oversight of the grounds, buildings, furniture, equipment and resources on their particular campus. The Maintenance Officer may be required to work at any of the three College campuses.

The Maintenance Officer will work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor to assist him/her with the maintenance of resources to ensure the College readiness and availability for all school activities and operations. The Maintenance Officer is responsible for delivering timely, cost effective maintenance and improvement of the College’s property which includes buildings and structures, furniture and fittings, equipment and resources, utility services and infrastructure, grounds and gardens.

The Maintenance Officer reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor, and through the Maintenance Supervisor to the Property Manager.

**MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY**

The responsibilities of the Maintenance Officer include but are not limited to:
i. In conjunction with the Maintenance Supervisor, being proactive, reactive and timely in the delivery of the maintenance program;
ii. Ensuring adherence to all relevant Occupational Health and Safety and Child Safety policies of the College, and all other relevant statutory and regulatory requirements;
iii. performing other day-to-day duties as requested by the Principal, College Improvement Team, Property Manager or Maintenance Supervisor.
