**Introduction**:
This is an exciting opportunity to work with an organisation who values their team’s development, skills and knowledge. You will be working in a hands-on strategic position where you have influencing abilities to drive the roadmap for the team and implement your strategic thinking.

The Engineering Manager will work with the team to develop the 3-5-year Engineering site plan. The business is investing heavily into the production facility and will require the Engineering Manager to support the efforts which will include growing and developing the Engineering team on site.

This highly autonomous senior role will need to provide technical know-how and leadership to the Engineering team and will be required to lead major capex expansion related projects. The Engineering Manager will need to have the ability to communicate technical information to different parts of the organisation. This role will require to Engineering Manager to be highly organised to ensure resources and budgets are managed effectively during and beyond the growth period.

**Description**:
Reporting to the Plant Manager, your key areas of accountability include, but not limited to:

- Demonstrated people leadership experience, ideally of technical or engineering teams
- Demonstrated Project Management experience
- Manage and assist with capital projects, with focus on budgeting and delivery time
- Manage engineering systems, processes, and documentation to ensure standards are adhered to and maintained
- Facilities management experience
- Provide individual support for team members, coaching and collaborating on development plans
- Provide operations and maintenance with technical, problem solving and troubleshooting support
- Develop and communicate a strategy for the engineering team and align with other disciplines within the department to achieve business objectives
- Lead OH&S behaviours with all project and engineering work on site. Comprehensive knowledge of OH&S and EPA regulations and systems
- All other reasonable duties, as required by the business.

**Skills and Experiences**:
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience as an engineering manager or similar in the manufacturing industry
- Engineering degree or equivalent (mandatory).

EXPERIENCE
- High level of autonomy with demonstrated expertise and knowledge on capital expansions within the engineering related field
- Good mechanical aptitude and or trouble shooting ability
- Pharmaceutical/food industry and/or packaging experience
- Lean manufacturing experience with the focus on continuous improvement
- Strong people leadership is essential
- Ability to work with all levels of the organisation from shop floor to senior management
- A strong awareness of and commitment to safety management
- Time management, analytical and problem-solving skills
- High level of attention to detail, initiative and a strong work ethic.
