About the Role

We are offering an exciting internship for a motivated student or recent graduate who is eager to gain hands-on experience in software engineering for industrial automation. This role is designed to give you real-world exposure to automation technologies, project work, and collaboration with experienced engineers, while building the foundations of your career.

What You'll Be Learning and Doing

As an intern, you will work under the guidance of our senior engineers and gain exposure to:

• Assisting in the development, testing, and implementation of software solutions for industrial automation projects.
• Learning how to work with PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems to support programming and process optimisation.
• Shadowing and supporting electrical designers and electricians to understand how systems are integrated.
• Accompanying engineers to client sites to observe commissioning activities and breakdown support.
• Supporting the troubleshooting of software and control system issues alongside experienced engineers.
• Participating in meetings with clients to see how requirements are gathered and translated into solutions.
• Helping prepare and maintain documentation of software, system configurations, and procedures.
• Staying curious and engaged with emerging automation technologies and industry trends.

What We're Looking For

• Currently studying or recently completed a degree in Software Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Interest in automation, industrial systems, or applied software engineering.
• Enthusiasm to learn and apply technical skills in a real-world environment.
• Strong problem-solving mindset, willingness to ask questions, and openness to feedback.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate he/she can work both in a team environment as well able to work and manage their own tasks.  An ability to learn new skills and technologies quickly is highly desirable.

Subject to your availability, the position will range from part-time to fulltime.

Position open to students undertaking either first or second internships.
