As we continue to grow our footprint across the region, we are seeking an experienced and driven Business Development Manager to lead the growth of our Expansion Joint Cover and Waterproofing product lines in Sydney and greater NSW.
The Role
As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales, developing new business opportunities, and managing key client relationships within the expansion joint and waterproofing segments. You'll work closely with specifiers, contractors, and engineers to deliver value-driven solutions for concrete construction challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the NSW construction, civil and infrastructure markets
- Build strong relationships with key decision-makers: architects, engineers, builders, contractors and installers
- Promote technical products and solutions, including expansion joint covers, fire-rated joint systems, and waterproofing membranes
- Prepare and present quotes, tenders, and technical proposals
- Collaborate with internal teams on project delivery, logistics, and after-sales support
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and project pipelines
- Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs
- Regular travel commitment of 25-50% is required across Sydney and greater NSW region
About You
- Proven experience in technical sales or business development, preferably in construction products or building materials
- Minimum 3-5 years of business development experience required
- A combined total of 3-5 years across both business development and construction industry experience is acceptable
- Strong understanding of expansion joint systems, waterproofing, or concrete accessories is highly regarded
- 3-5 years of construction industry experience required
- A solid network within Tier 1 & Tier 2 contractors, architects, engineering firms and installers
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to read technical drawings and work with specification-based sales
- Intermediate level ability to read and interpret technical drawings is required
- Self-motivated with a hands-on, results-driven approach
- Current driver's licence and ability to travel across the region
- Australian permanent resident or citizen status required
