**ABOUT THE COLLEGE**

**ABOUT THE POSITION**
This is a full-time position to manage Learning Support activities across the Primary and Secondary Schools. The overall objective of this role is for each student to fulfil their potential in a mainstream classroom context despite having learning and/or social/emotional challenges.

Responsibilities include:

- Oversee all programs for students with additional needs
- Oversee staff within the department and maintain up to date resources.
- Liaison with external therapists,
- Family and staff communications
- Student Support Groups (SSG’s) and Independent Learning Plans (ILP’s)
- Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD)

**ABOUT THE PERSON**

Employees need to be able to embrace the core values of the College and have a passion for working in a Christian education setting.
- VIT registration and significant teaching experience.
- Experience in working with students with disabilities, including understanding of management of the NCCD process & documentation requirements.
- Working toward or having a post-graduate qualification in working with student with disabilities such as Master of Education - Learning Intervention or similar would be viewed favourably.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- An ability to share the overall vision and help the school pursue it’s God given charter.
- A personal alignment with the school’s ethos and faith position demonstrated by an active personal faith and church involvement.
