Lighthouse Christian College is a fast-growing co-educational ELC to Year 12 school situated in Keysborough.

Our mission is ‘to assist Christian parents to teach and train their children in a Christian teaching and learning environment, so they will fulfil God’s plan for their lives, and bring this positive influence on our society’.

OUR LEARNING SUPPORT PROGRAM

The mission of the Lighthouse Christian College Learning Support Program is to provide appropriate assistance to students demonstrating additional needs, in order to optimise their learning and help them find and fulfil their God-ordained function in life. These additional needs may include intellectual, social, emotional, behavioural and physical difficulties that are seen to cause impediment to student learning.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
- Degree level teacher qualifications and significant teaching experience
- Post-graduate qualification in working with students with disabilities will be highly regarded
- Minimum of three years of specialisation in working with students with disabilities, including managing NCCD processes and documentation requirements
- Christian educational leadership experience, skilled in supervising and coordinating a team of people
- Ability to conduct meetings with parents with a focus on building partnership in the best interests of the child, family and school
- Innovatively able to develop and implement strategy and plans under broad direction
- Skills in data and assessment analysis for students with learning needs with the capability to refer to appropriate professionals for further assessment and diagnosis
- VIT Registration (mandatory)
- Active involvement in a Christian church
- Calm, friendly, and pleasant demeanor
- Ability to interact well with children.
