**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
The Procurement and Subcontract Specialist is a key member of the Ventia Rig & Well Services Supply Chain Team and in this role you will be responsible for the lifecycle management of the subcontractors supporting the Ventia Rig & Well Services Contract.This includes procurement, engagement, onboarding, performance, compliance & reporting.
The Procurement and Subcontract Specialist is responsible for preparing and performing competitive tenders and administering the subcontracts, managing performance and commercial items. Continually developing and driving productivity and purchasing power initiatives with the Ventia Procurement team, the role maximizes value for money to the Ventia Rig & Well Services business.
This role will be based the Toowoomba office, with the occasional requirement to visit sites.

**ABOUT YOU**:
We are looking for an experienced professional, with proven skills in procurement, contract negotiation, and vendor management. This role would suit someone from an Oil & Gas background.
**You will have**:
- Experience working in a subcontract or commercial management environment,including ability to understand and accurately interpret contracts and subcontracts
- Experience of managing a variety of levels of subcontractors from sole traders to larger organizations
- Strong commercial skills and business acumen with proven capability in contract negotiations
- Excellent analytical skills
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
**Technical Requirements**:
- Advanced understanding of Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) principles
- Knowledge of typical industry policies and procedures related to regulations applicable to contracts, cost estimating and pricing, procurement, and goodbusiness practices.
- Experience with systems such as SAP and Ariba upstream
- Professional procurement qualification or membership of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (MCIPS) is desirable
