
Procurement Specialist for Supply Chain Management

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team and contribute to the effective management of our supply chain. The primary purpose of this role is to provide purchasing support in a professional and efficient manner, working with key suppliers to ensure standard goods and/or services received and pricing is best available for positive outcomes.
The successful candidate will work closely with vendors and internal stakeholders to meet supply and equipment requirements in a timely manner, in line with our company's policies and procedures.
This position reports to the Senior Procurement Officer and includes:
- Managing all aspects of procurement of specific components, parts, consumables, and services
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders for quoting/sourcing and driving competitive pricing outcomes
- Creating and maintaining accurate purchase orders, receipts, and processing invoices by due date
- Liaising with vendors to resolve order and invoice discrepancies
- Creating and managing inventory items
- Running reports to review outstanding orders, invoices, and stock allocations
- Following up on delivery lead times and notifying relevant teams of changes or delays
- Liaising with field staff regarding outstanding documentation for compliance
- Onboarding new vendors as required
- Contributing to the execution of the overall supply chain strategy and continuous improvement initiatives
Key Responsibilities
The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing procurement strategies to optimize costs and improve efficiency
- Building and maintaining relationships with key suppliers to secure best-in-class products and services
- Coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless supply chain operations
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing changes to enhance productivity and quality
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook
- ERP experience, Jobpac (preferred but not essential)
- Excellent time management skills and work planning skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Commitment towards constantly improving skills
