Carinya of Bicton is one of the most highly regarded aged care facilities South of the Perth river.**

**Role Summary**:
The Care Manager, in consultation with the Facility Manager, provides clinical leadership in all aspects of the operations of the facility. This role works across the combination of our 60-bed Carinya of Bicton residential aged care facility and also a 35-bed Transitional Care Program, located within the same facility.

**Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Promotes and demonstrates a client focused approach to the delivery of care services, bases on sound clinical assessments that optimise residents' lifestyles and maximises quality of life
- Provides supervision and guidance to clinical and non-clinical team members to ensure that care delivered is of the highest quality and based on aged care quality standards and best practices
- Demonstrates positive role modelling and leadership in accordance with professional standards

**Skills, Attributes and Experience**:

- Registered Nurse with minimum 5 years’ experience
- Experience in aged care, preferably in residential care setting
- Clinical expertise in the management of geriatric care
- Understanding and experience with the AN-ACC funding model
- Understanding of quality and risk management systems and the Aged Care Standards Framework
- High level computer literacy in Microsoft Suites and skills to use various software programs
- Highly organised and can effectively manage responsibilities and own priorities and assist others in this
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to develop staff, foster teamwork and effectively work as a team member whilst providing leadership
