Over 29 years, Bakers Delight has grown to over 700 bakeries across three countries, serving 2.5 million customers each week. Every day, in every bakery, Bakers Delight bakers create a range of traditional and gourmet breads and pastries.

We are looking for an **apprentice baker** to join our team. This is an excellent entry level opportunity for you to start your career in a team where you will gain support and training to develop your skills in a busy, dynamic store. We value quality and pride ourselves on customer service.

All products are baked freshly from scratch, daily on the premises. You will be a team player with the ability to handle any task that comes your way and have a strong work ethic. Amongst other things, the role will include:

- Committing to and working to the requirements of a 3-year Baking Apprenticeship which entails both practical and school based learning.
- Following workplace Food Safety & OH&S regulations
- Producing, processing and baking a range of bread products
- Cleaning as you go and particular detailed cleaning tasks every day
- Listen to and follow direction
- Available to work on a rotating roster, early hours and weekend shifts
- Work well in a team environment.

**Your main duties include but not limited to**:

- Producing basic bread products
- Mixing Moulding doughs
- Assisting in product preparation and baking
- Oven work
- Providing delightful customer service when required
- Maintaining bakery cleanliness to WHS Standards
- Have a passion for the baking industry
- Be punctual & reliable
- Keen to learn all aspects of the trade
- Be well presented

To be eligible for an apprenticeship or traineeship you must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or have full working rights.
