Position: Printer Technician

Location: Geraldton, WA (with service coverage across Midwest, Gascoyne, Murchison, Wheatbelt regions)

As we expand our Managed Print Services (MPS), we are seeking a motivated and multiskilled technician to join our team, supporting our exclusive partnerships with leading brands like Brother, Sharp and others.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Technician, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality service to Localworks’ managed print customers. Your responsibilities will include:

- Service and Maintenance:

- Perform installation, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of a wide range of printing and imaging devices, including printers, copiers, and multifunction devices.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and routine inspections to ensure optimum performance of print equipment.
- Calibrate and configure machines to customer specifications and partner brand standards.
- Technical Support:

- Provide both remote and on-site technical support to resolve customer issues in a timely manner.
- Educate customers on proper usage, features, and maintenance of print equipment to reduce service calls.
- Assist in developing user manuals and training materials.
- Workshop and Field Service:

- Utilize Localworks’ new showroom and workshop premises as the base for repairs, testing, and parts replacement.
- Travel to client locations across the Midwest, Gascoyne, Murchison, and Wheatbelt regions to provide on-site service, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Inventory and Parts Management:

- Maintain accurate records of parts, tools, and equipment usage.
- Manage inventory levels for commonly used parts and tools, ensuring efficient turnaround for repairs and service calls.
- Customer Service:

- Build strong relationships with customers through professional, reliable, and friendly service.
- Address customer concerns and ensure their managed print services are running efficiently.
- Gather customer feedback to contribute to service improvement initiatives.
- Collaboration and Training:

- Work closely with the sales and service teams to coordinate service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Participate in in-house training and external certification programs to maintain a high level of technical expertise, particularly for the exclusive brands (Brother, Sharp or other brands.)

Qualifications & Skills:

- Technical Expertise:

- Proven experience (2+ years) in servicing, maintaining, and repairing printing and imaging devices (experience with Brother, Sharp or other brands is a plus).
- Familiarity with network connectivity and print management software is preferred.
- Basic understanding of office IT infrastructure, networking, and troubleshooting.
- Customer-Focused Attitude:

- Strong problem-solving abilities with a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
- Professional communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Physical Requirements:

- Ability to lift, carry, and move print devices and related equipment.
- Willingness to travel to various client locations within the service regions.
- Other:

- Valid driver’s license required.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA, brand-specific certifications) are desirable but not mandatory.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
