**Your opportunity to join us at North Ryde**
The Demand Planner is responsible for forecasting demand for the accounts and products in their portfolio. This includes the management of statistical modelling of baseline demand, the separation and management of anticipated promotional uplifts, new product launches and expired product deletions. In addition to strong analytical skills, it is also important that the Demand Planner is able to develop and communicate the key assumptions that their demand forecasts rely upon. Being able to then turn those assumptions into insights that are clearly communicated to the rest of Ingham’s would also be highly desirable.
**Responsibilities include**:
- Develop demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons for the particular accounts and products within your portfolio
- Review historical sales trends regularly to continue to improve the accuracy of demand forecasts and to identify trends
- Reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated assumptions
- Be able to then draw insights from the changes in assumptions and communicate those to impacted stakeholders
- Interact with sales, marketing, and key customers to clearly understand the assumptions driving the demand forecast and ensure that the actions required to achieve the forecast is clear and agreed to as required
- Ensure the accuracy of the demand signals that are flowing from our demand planning system (FuturMaster) to other parts of the business, particularly sales, marketing, operations and planning
- Be able to strongly communicate the demand forecast, the underlying assumptions that drive it and any insights that generates
**We’re interested in people who can bring**
- The ability to excel in a complex, dynamic environment that changes quickly
- Demonstrated competence in data analytics and the ability to turn data into meaningful insights
- Knowledge of forecasting systems/software is an advantage
- Excellent planning, time management and execution skills
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with both internal and external customers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to influence key stakeholders using well-structured arguments
- Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft software suite - particularly Excel and PowerPoint
