Our client has been servicing the residential housing market more than 15 years, they focus on new residential builds dealing directly with the builders. We are seeking a Registered Building Inspector with the VBA (limited or unlimited) to join the team on a permanent basis. Specifically, we are seeking someone to work on residential projects in South-Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne.

The Building Inspector will be required to carry out mandatory inspections on various residential projects and investigate complaints. Reporting to the Team Leader you will ensure the services provided are at the highest standard. Communication is a vital part of the role; therefore, you will need to ensure all relevant parties have received both verbal and written communication on the progress of the inspections. You will have the ability to provide direction and leadership to builders and site managers whilst maintaining your professionalism under pressure. You will possess solid attention to detail and be able to utilise your problem solving and analytical skills to meet deadlines in timely manner.

Whilst some companies focus on the number of inspections per day, this groups appreciates there are several variables in respect to the type of inspection, location, style, etc., their focus is on reasonable numbers within reasonable work hours, generally 7.30am-4pm. The Inspectors work in teams, and work to reduce travel time, so will schedule jobs close to home wherever possible.

Our client is offering a very competitive salary range $85-$100K (pending experience), plus fully serviced fleet car, mobile phone, iPad and many other benefits.
