About this opportunity

As the Case Manager in our Protect Team, you will manage and process cases and payments for members of our fund. This includes managing and administering a portfolio of Total Permanent Disability (TPD) and Income Protection (IP) insurance claims, Death (D) and Terminal Illness (TI) claims with or without insurance cover, Family Law claims and early release payments (financial hardship, compassionate grounds). Additionally, some insurance administration associated with insurance underwriting may be required from time to time.

How do you exceed our expectations?

You will have demonstrated experience working in a similar role within a Superannuation, Life Insurance or Work Cover environment.

Additionally, you will also have;
Experience as a Case Manager, managing a portfolio of claims and various case types including Death, TPD, TI and IP;
Experience performing claim staking;
Experience in Family Law Claims (advantageous);
Demonstrated experience in reviewing and challenging insurer decisions and case reviewing declined claims;
The ability to prepare trustee recommendations for approval; and
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to maintain proactive, solution focussed communication with members, beneficiaries and solicitors.
