As the Community Manager, you will be part of The Chainsaw team and will be responsible for producing content and contributing to the brand’s growth strategy. The Community Manager will focus on creating video and social content that will engage and grow our audience, as well as write content for the website.
The Community Manager has a deep understanding of social trends and is always up to date with the latest developments in the future tech, AI, web3 and crypto spaces. They are comfortable breaking news, conducting interviews, editing video content as well as producing engaging longer form content.
Day to day you will:
- Produce video, carousel and other content for social media across platforms including but not limited to TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Discord and Reddit.
- Monitor social metrics, site traffic and performance to make informed decisions on how to grow audience
- Stay on trend with latest developments in social algorithms and constantly evolve our content offering to remain relevant
- Convert social video scripts to on-site articles, and file stories for the website where needed
- Maintain our in-house style guides
- Meet regularly with key contacts to build relationships, secure editorial exclusives and ensure that the brand remains at the forefront of the future tech community
- Keep fully abreast of the future tech news cycle to ensure that our coverage is timely, informed and unique
- Ensure content adheres to our editorial guidelines and legal requirements including but not limited to defamation, contempt of court, copyright and financial services law
**Qualifications**
Demonstrated experience in, and passion for, future tech with a finger firmly on the pulse
of the latest news and developments
What we would like to see:
- Previous experience creating digital content
- A flair for storytelling and a proven track record of identifying trends
- Highly skilled at building stories and editing at speed within a CMS
- Strong understanding of social best practice and SEO best practice
- An excellent eye for detail
- Tertiary qualification in journalism or a related discipline is preferred
