ABOUT BURKE & BEYOND:
Burke and Beyond is a not-for-profit community-based organisation, which operates services in Melbourne’s Eastern and Southern Metropolitan Regions. We provide a wide range of activities and opportunities designed to meet the expressed needs of people with an intellectual disability. Our main objective is to enhance our participants’ independence and maximise their quality of life. We focus on establishing connections with the local community and businesses with the view of supporting our participants in experiencing volunteering and working experiences as part of their learning.

1. PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

To enhance the viability and sustainability of Burke and Beyond on behalf of its participants.

The role of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is to lead, inspire and mentor the Executive Management Team (EMT) whilst overseeing the management of day-to-day operations, its people, and resources. The CEO is responsible for providing strategic, financial, and operational leadership for the company and will closely coordinate and work with the Board and EMT.
The CEO will oversee and implement the strategy approved by the board and ensure that the organisation’s structure and processes meet and exceed the strategic and cultural needs that fulfil the organisation’s vision, mission and trademark.

3. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
