Our Federal Government client located centrally in Adelaide are seeking a Procurement Manager on a temporary basis.

**Your new role**

Your role as Procurement Manager will see you play a critical role in the Department being able to achieve its goals by creating and maintaining strong relationships and evaluating suppliers, products, and services, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that approved purchases are cost-efficient and of high quality.
- Logistical tracking or other operational activities.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including the divisional network and suppliers.
- Manage the development of plans for a range of procurements and supplier engagements, and negotiate to deliver value for money outcomes.
- Develop and administer contract management plans and undertake general contract management responsibilities.
- Proactively manage the performance of suppliers.
- Contribute to continuous improvements by identifying and implementing improved work practices and process.

**What you'll need to succeed**

To be successful in the role you will ideally have:

- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in contract management,
- Knowledge of Government purchasing policies and procedures.
- Ability to work under pressure and within competing timeframes and priorities
- Proven ability to communicate and engage with diverse range of individuals.
- Demonstrated experience in achieving results within legislative, policy and budget parameters.
- A degree in procurement, supply chain, commerce or business administration.
