Assetlink specialise in the provision of facilities services, across commercial, retail and aviation sectors. Most recently, Assetlink have extended their service offer to include hospitality and accommodation services to the Mining sector.
**Description**:
Based in Perth, this role of Safety & Risk Manager will support both the Assetlink Services and Mining Villages business by providing managers and their teams with efficient, accurate and timely leadership, advice as well as coaching to realise our organisation's safety goals.
A partner to the Western Australian leadership team, you will lead the implementation of agreed Safety & Risk strategies, and be an integral member of the ANZ Safety & Risk team. Regular travel to mine villages will be required.
**What you will be doing to achieve a sustainable WHS culture**:
- Instil the belief that every incident can be prevented
- Build capability in People Leaders and Frontline Team Members across safety, and risk
- Embed practices that shift the Safety Culture from Dependant to Interdependent
- Implement agreed Safety & Risk strategies, programs and projects in WA and village services
- Undertake monitoring activities to review to confirm agreed risk controls are in place and effective
- Engage with client WHS leaders to build aligned safety solutions
- Contribute to the National Safety & Risk Agenda, representing WA needs
**Skills and Experiences**:
**You will have**:
To be successful in this role, you will have had success leading organisation change, shifting culture and building safety leadership capability. Most likely, you will bring:
- Extensive experience working as a WHS business partner, ideally gained servicing mining camp accommodation and hospitality
- Track record of success delivering fundamental shifts to safety strategy/culture.
- Worked in an industry where safety is a cultural priority (e.g. oil and gas, construction, manufacturing)
- Experience translating WHS best practice, operationalising into commercially sound WHS programs
- Advanced stakeholder management and influencing skills experience including engagement and relationship building with remote staff
- Deep understanding of WA Safety Law, regulatory and statutory requirements - especially Food Safety and minerals safety legislation
- Fully vaccinated in COVID-19
**Qualifications**:
- Food Safety (HACCP) qualifications - mandatory
- Tertiary qualifications in WHS, Risk or in an Environment related field - desirable
- Formal training in Incident investigation - highly desirable
- Certified management systems auditor - desirable
- Mental Health Certifications are highly desirable
