**About the Role**
They are currently seeking a Project Officer with extensive health or oncology experience to join their team in St Leonard’s with the flexibility to work remotely from home. This is an estimated 5-month temporary assignment, with a strong potential to extend
Reporting to the Program Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the implementation, management, monitoring and evaluation of a diverse range of projects, contracts and services, whilst contributing to the achievement of strategic and operational objectives for the Screening and Prevention Division. You will be required to contribute to project streams which will vary in nature within the program team including maintaining key stakeholder relationships, managing grants, undertaking initiatives to engage priority populations, evaluation of projects as well as secretariat services to key program committees
**Responsibilities;**
- End to end project management of multiple health related projects simultaneously
- Track, monitor and report on project plans, scope, status updates, milestones, budgets and deliverables
- Assist in the commissioning and execution of contracts and grants with external agencies
- Preparation of procurement and tender documentation including evaluation and contracts ensuring compliance with organisational policies
- Coordinate and arrange working groups, including attending, participating and presenting
- Establish and maintain effective stakeholder relationships facilitating engagement, collaboration and contribution of ideas
- Support on adhoc projects including mass media campaigns and roll out of an online resource
- Ensure compliance with legislative requirements
**About You**
- Demonstrated Program of Project experience
- Grants experience
- Experience in Aboriginal & Indigenous, Oncology, Pregnancy and National Health programs desirable
- Impeccable interpersonal and communication skills
- Confident, resilient and bubbly, willingness to complete presentations
- Solid analytical, problem-solving and negotiation skills
- Superior organisational skills and ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting deadlines
**Requirements**:
- Tertiary Qualifications within Health, Health Promotion or relevant field
- Public and Health Sector experience essential
- Thorough understanding of how LHD’s operate and function
- Willingness to undergo a National Police Check
- Ability to commence and commit to the duration of the assignment
