About the role
We are looking for a Payments Specialist to join our dynamic Pay and Assist Team. As a Payments Specialist, you will be responsible for managing payment processes, maintaining compliance, and identifying opportunities for improvement. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the effective receipt, allocation, and refunding of Payments

What you will be doing:
- Manage and oversee one or more core payment functions, such as payment allocations, refunds, and credit transfers.
- Develop and maintain performance reporting dashboards to monitor operational performance and trends.
- Implement operational controls and ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.
- Identify and drive process improvement initiatives to simplify workflows, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Conduct root cause analysis for operational issues and manage incidents from identification to resolution, including remediation activities.
What we would like to see you bring:
- Strong analytical and reporting skills with experience in SQL and attention to detail.
- Ability to define, manage, and independently deliver programs of work.
- Skilled in stakeholder engagement, workshop facilitation, and capturing business requirements.
- Proven experience in process management, preferably within the utilities sector.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
- Experience with SAP, retail processes, and project management methodologies is highly desirable.
- Six Sigma qualifications or other continuous improvement certifications are a plus.
