**About the Role**
As the Supply and Distribution Manager, you will be the driving force behind our end-to-end supply chain operations—overseeing procurement, inventory management, and the efficient distribution of our lighting products. We’re looking for a strategic leader who can optimise processes, cultivate strong supplier relationships, and enhance logistics performance to support ongoing business growth and customer satisfaction.
**Key Responsibilities**
- **Supply Chain & Inventory Management**:
- Develop and implement strategies to optimise stock levels, control costs, and improve delivery timelines.
- Lead procurement planning, supplier negotiations, and demand forecasting to ensure consistent product availability.
- Oversee inventory control and stock replenishment to meet both business and customer needs.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs clearance, and import/export procedures.
- **Logistics & Distribution**:
- Manage the distribution network to ensure efficient storage, transportation, and on-time delivery of products.
- Collaborate with third-party logistics providers, freight forwarders, and couriers to optimise distribution channels.
- Implement and maintain warehouse management systems for improved operational efficiency.
- Track and enhance logistics performance through KPIs, including on-time delivery, order accuracy, and cost control.
- **Supplier & Stakeholder Management**:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with international suppliers to secure reliable product supply.
- Work closely with internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Finance) to align supply chain objectives with broader business goals.
- Develop strategic partnerships with logistics providers to enhance service levels and reduce costs.
- **Compliance & Risk Management**:
- Ensure adherence to industry regulations, import/export compliance, and workplace safety standards.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, such as supply disruptions, transportation delays, and currency fluctuations.
- Champion sustainability initiatives in logistics and supply chain operations where applicable.
- **Process Improvement & Technology Integration**:
- Leverage technology to improve supply chain visibility, automation, and reporting.
- Drive continuous improvement to streamline operations, enhance efficiency, and reduce waste.
- Stay informed on industry trends and best practices to keep the company competitive.
**What We’re Looking For**
- Proven experience in international procurement, logistics, and supply chain management.
- Strong negotiation skills and a successful track record in supplier relationship management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with proficiency in ERP systems and inventory management software.
- Leadership and team management experience, coupled with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to perform under pressure and effectively manage multiple priorities.
