Our Risk and Compliance professionals partner with management, board members and outside counsel to help organisations comply with regulatory requirements, respond to situations of noncompliance, and improve the processes around information systems supporting governance, risk and compliance (GRC). We help clients take a disciplined approach to managing credit, market and operational risks through a combination of assessments, process improvement, and model review and validation.

Managers have primary responsibility to serving clients and ensuring the successful execution of projects. Managers strive to develop lasting relationships with client personnel and seek to further these relationships through quality product delivery. The goal of the Manager is to understand their clients business and demonstrate technical competence in their product group and industry. Managers are developing contacts within the business community and serve as ambassadors of Protiviti in the market.

**SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Develop and deliver risk and compliance service offerings, including corporate governance, enterprise risk management, operational risk, credit risk, market risk and regulatory compliance
- Support marketing initiatives that provide a perspective and point of view on risk and compliance and promote the Protiviti brand, increase client awareness of competencies and capabilities and generate access to senior client personnel
- Target specific organisations, in defined sectors, and build relationships with the Executive and Senior Management teams to gain a greater understanding of their business operations, their specific challenges/ issues and potential risk and compliance needs
- Lead the delivery of risk and compliance projects, including the management of scope and approach, driving and supporting the team and management of the client deliverables to time, cost and quality

**GENERAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS**
- Prior experience in operational risk management, credit risk management (consumer or commercial), market risk, quantitative risk management and/or economic capital is preferred.
- Prior experience in the corporate or the financial services sectors are strongly preferred.
- Excellent project management, people management and supervisory skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact in team environment and foster client relationships.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills,including ability to capture complex situations and articulate pragmatic commercial recommendations and solutions.
- Must work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
- Demonstrated excellent leadership and interpersonal skills

- Must be able to handle highly confidential information in a strictly professional manner

**TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS**
- Broad experience in governance, risk and compliance and familiarity with standards and regulatory reference points relative to the local market and defined industry sectors
- Technical experience and depth in the design of risk management frameworks, including all aspects of governance (strategy, policy and procedures, risk appetite and structures), people (structure, roles and responsibilities and cultural aspects), methods, tools and techniques (risk profiling, scenario analysis, control self assessment, key risk indicators, incident management and analytics) and reporting
- Technical understanding of the major risk categories, including strategic, operational, regulation and compliance and financial (including credit, market, FX, liquidity, interest rate risks)
- Practical experience of implementing risk management into a business and/ or managing a risk function, including the use of risk management in strategy and business planning, programmes and projects, budgeting and resource planning, performance management and executive and Board reporting
- Ability to review, analyse and evaluate key elements of a clients operating model, including specific areas of their value chain, support functions and enabling activities relative to market practice, and specific risk issues/ events
- Strong project management and change management skills and experience to understand and evaluate client projects and initiatives and to support the successful progression of risk and compliance projects

**EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL**
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant quantitative discipline (e.g. Accounting/Finance, other businessrelated fields, or engineering/physical sciences) required.
- Relevant professional qualifications (e.g. chartered accountant, risk management qualification)
