**Project Officer, Emergency Management**

**The Role**
- The Project Officer provides high level administrative support, project coordination, and reporting for emergency management planning activities coordinated through the Emergency Management Team, in assisting the department to meet its emergency management legislative obligations.
- The responsibilities of the Project Officer, Emergency Management will include:

- Contributing to projects for improved outcomes for emergency management across the department's portfolios
- Contributing to the development, implementation and evaluation of emergency management and preparedness planning, systems and programs
- Representing DJSIR at internal, inter-agency, and whole of Victorian government committees, meetings and working groups.

**The Team**
- The position of Project Officer, Emergency Management forms a part of the Strategy, Performance and Governance branch within the Corporate Services group.
- The Corporate Services group consists of specialist functions including strategic communications, finance, investment and procurement, performance and governance, legal and legislation, people and culture, information technology and workplace services and emergency management. The Strategy, Performance and Governance Branch objective is to continuously uplift the efficiency and effectiveness of the Corporate Services Group and the department.

**About You**
- ** Planning and Organising**: Identifies processes, tasks and resources required to achieve a goal; identifies critical activities and operates accordingly, reviewing and adjusting as required
- ** Verbal Communication**: Confidently conveys ideas and information in a clear and interesting way; understands and meets the needs of target audiences
- A valid and current **Driver's Licence** is a mandatory requirement for this role.
