**The Company**

Part of a large global insurance group, renowned for their excellent working culture and commitment to diversity and inclusion. A recognisable brand in the financial services sector, this business has been experiencing exceptional growth and are looking for a high-performing compliance professional to join their team.

**The Role**

The Compliance Manager role is a newly created role within a merged and restructured risk and compliance function. The role will report into a Head of Compliance, and will be closely supporting the local CRO, responsible for assurance on compliance obligations and regulatory change to the group.

The responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

- Act as an internal advisor on compliance matters in respect to AFS Licence, Corporations Act, Insurance Contracts Act and General Insurance Code of Practice obligations and in the development of processes and actions to ensure compliance with existing and new obligations.
- Assist in developing and maintaining compliance policies, procedures and programs to ensure alignment with industry standards and best practise.
- Assist in conducting Compliance deep dive reviews in pivotal areas such as underwriting, claims.
- Maintain various registers, including breaches and incidents.
- Manage the local obligations register.
- Assist the Compliance Head on developing and delivering of relevant training. Review of customer facing documents (such as, Marketing material)

**Your Profile**

Ideally you will have:

- Minimum 5+ years experience within a broad compliance role within Insurance
- Proactive nature and ability to take ownership of tasks
- A collaborative mindset
