**The Mental Health and Wellbeing Local**
Wellways, Mentis Assist and Peninsula Health are working together to provide mental health and wellbeing supports in Frankston to ensure everyone can access treatment and care closer to home.

The new Frankston Mental Health and Wellbeing Local will provide welcoming and inclusive support for people aged 26 years and over who are experiencing mental health challenges, including people with co-occurring alcohol and drug addiction treatment and care needs. More than ever before, we are working with the local community and people who have a personal experience of mental health issues and recovery to build these services so they are the best they can be. Our services will be co-produced by participants, carers and the local community.

**About the Role**
The Support and Connect Team Lead, employed by Peninsula Health, will lead the team in the implementation and ongoing operations for the Frankston Local Mental Health and Wellbeing Local. The Support and Connect Team is comprised of Wellbeing Psychosocial Navigators with varying qualifications and Wellbeing Peer Navigators with a lived and/or living experience

The role will have overall responsibility for managing Support and Connect Team members as they:

- Welcome new participants into the Local Service
- Support the Support and Connect Team to engage participants with the service and continue to walk alongside them on their recovery journey
- Support with clinical decision-making

**Requirements**:

- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (mental health/AOD)
- Experience working in mental health and/or AOD sector (minimum 3 years)
- Experience in a Team/Senior Leader or Management role, including providing line management
- Be registered with relevant governing body where applicable
- Demonstrated time management abilities, excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Please refer to salary circular VICTORIAN PUBLIC MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES ENTERPRISE AGREEMENT 2021 - 2024 for salary range. Sub-grading will be based on years of experience.
