Principal Consultant

The Principal Consultant role is team focused and outcome driven. It provides delivery, domain strategy, team and stakeholder leadership for Versent engagements. The role has accountability to deliver the engagement in line with customer requirements within the commercial construct.

As a People Leader, the Principal Consultant is responsible for assisting the Director in creation of an effective and engaged team formed for the duration of the engagement for the purpose of achieving agreed goals. The Principal Consultant is the first point of contact for customers during an engagement and accountable for aligning the technical outcomes to client needs; building trust, credibility and rapport with the customer.

The Principal Consultant is knowledgeable around Versent’s go-to-market domains and an expert in at least one of the domains. This expertise is used to shape the customer strategy and approach to the transformation piece of work.- Strong Agile Delivery leadership and management within a technical domain- Proven consulting leadership and management with clients- Focusing on customer needs and satisfaction by setting high standards for quality and quantity, monitoring and maintaining productivity, working systematically and consistently achieving project goals- Leading, coaching, developing and mentor employees; setting clear performance measures and goals- Establishing good relationships with customers and employees; building effective external networks and relates to people at all levels and manages conflict effectively- Projects credibility; gains clear agreement and commitment from others by persuading, convincing and negotiating- Work strategically to realise organisational goals and take into account a wide range of issues across and related to the organisation- Work productively in a high-pressure environment, keeping emotions under control and maintaining a positive outlook at work- Adapts to changing circumstances, dealing with ambiguity and adapting self to different people or situations; ability to 'think on your feet'- Make prompt, clear decisions taking responsibility for actions, people and projects - initiating and leading activity- Excellent communication skills; strong presentation skills and the ability to produce quality written documents
