**About the role**:
The Asset Assurance Officer ensures building activity does not place the public at risk; does not unreasonably interfere with pedestrian and vehicular movement and reinstates damage to road infrastructure.

Responsibilities include:

- Ensure building sites comply with legislation and local laws.
- Ensure building sites comply with approved construction management plans.
- Supervise construction of vehicle crossings.
- Inspect onsite detention systems and new connections to Council drains.
- Ensure reinstatements are to Council standards and carry out pre-pour inspections.
- Issue enforcement warnings and infringements.
- Meet utilities regarding works and reinstatement
- Investigate and respond promptly to customer queries

**Skills and experience require to perform the role**:

- Experience with construction worksites.
- A technical understanding of roadway and pathway reinstatement standards.
- Able to understand and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- An understanding of the permits required for road construction and/or occupation.
- An understanding of worksite traffic management and traffic guidance schemes.
- An understanding of and ability to interpret legislation and local laws.
- An understanding of enforcement procedures.
- Proficient computer skills
