This major local city Council overlooks one of Victoria’s largest and fastest growing diverse cities. The council works to plan and deliver quality services and infrastructure for the community. The council is based in Narre-Warren and is within a beautiful facility representing an energetic and cosmopolitan atmosphere.

**Your new role**

**As a Strategy, Planning and Performance Lead, you will be responsible to**:

- Drive sustainable change and lead the development and implementation of corporate documents, plans and reports
- Play a key leadership role in the development and embedding of an integrated planning and reporting framework
- Develop and facilitate effective working relationships across the organisation
- Lead the organisation’s strategy practice, including strategy development, impact measurement, action planning, and performance monitoring.
- Lead a high performing team by defining role expectations, monitoring performance, coaching, providing timely and constructive feedback and facilitating employee development.
- Facilitate strategic workshops, engagement initiatives both internal and external.

**What you'll need to succeed**

**To succeed in this role, you will have**:

- Degree in Organisational Planning/Strategic Foresight or other relevant discipline, and/or extensive equivalent experience in strategy and corporate reporting, document management and project planning in a similar role in local government.
- Advisory and consultative skills in working with key stakeholders to develop strategy capability, and influence strategy through to execution.
- Extensive experience facilitating workshops and leading cross-functional sessions to develop shared and prioritised strategic outcomes.
- Highly competent in leading complex projects, with the ability to influence others to achieve a common goal.
- Extensive experience in corporate report writing.
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, Eligibility to Work check
